Renew (confident). It will be interesting to see if the CW moves Supernatural to use The Flash to launch one of their midseason shows.

I don't think there is a more obvious renewal in any of the 5 networks. Renew (confident)

They're dumb if they don't renew it already this week.
What, they'll just hand it back-order, like it's in same tier as The Tomorrow People or Reign were?
That would show no sense for seizing the moment at all.

That would make a lot of sense if CW midseason entries would be any good. Which I sincerely doubt. Simply because those were overlooked for premiere during fall in favor of Jane the Virgin.

Again, if it's canceled, riots...fights on the street...children will die.

It could drop by half and I'd still have the same answer.

Great ratings, especially considering how predictable and somewhat boring this season was. Still my favorite summer show though.

Renew (Confident). Only question is when.

I would give it a straight A. A 16 year old show hitting PLUS highs is amazing.

Jane the Virgin with the 2nd-best MC score of any new network show this decade?

Spot said...

I hope this is a joke? If not, then question:
Is ads money correlated with MC score, or with show's ratings?

How many big four shows can Flash outrate during its first season?

FOX DOA shows and NBC thursday comedies are already behind it, CBS sunday/friday dramas might as well too (in fact, every friday scripted show), Forever and Revenge are pretty close too.

If 2.0 is the network average, then less than half of them.

Easy

You were talking about "good" mid season shows, that's why John Dorian replied you with the Metacritic score card.

Spot said...

I understand what's he's saying. But it seems you don't understand.
He's saying flop isn't a flop if it has good Metacritic score. That's absurd. Or that's some joke.

Spot said...

So you're saying "good shows" as "show with good ratings"? Yes, I think I didn't understand what you've said.

Spot said...

Yes, I meant exactly that, good = "good ratings". Sorry if I created confusion here. Now i can how it could happen.
But I tought it is implied - because blog is about ratings, and Billie_Dawn talked about scheduling moves.
Sorry, once again.

Considering The Good Wife, CSI, NCIS: LA, Stalker, Hawaii 5-0, Blue Bloods, Bones, Sleepy Hollow, Chicago PD, Revenge, Nashville amongst dramas have hit that 1.7 this year and still have a chnace of returning is crazy

Spot said...

The most confident renew of the season.

Spot said...

Mean isn't the median, though. The mean is bumped up a lot by The Voice (especially if that's counting each hour separately), TBBT, and the Shonda block. League average is projected to go sub-1.7 at the moment anyway!

Spot said...

Renew, with confidence

Spot said...

I'm so impressed with BB this season it literally was steady like a rock this whole summer despite being so weak in terms of entertainment. That just goes to show that BB has a steady fanbase of ~6 million that will tune in week in and week out no matter how bad it gets!

Spot said...

Yeah, but for all the 3.0s from the Voice & Shonda, we have 0.5s from the CW.

Either way, my answer will be less than half.

Spot said...

Yes, calling me absurd when he doesn't understand what I'm saying. Just because this site is about ratings we should automatically assume that any adjective related to quality should mean "in popularity"?
