Renew (confident). This seems by far the most promising of the new CBS dramas, and they've got to renew something.

Renew (confident). It'll probably end up where SHIELD is (maybe even a bit lower), but that will have to be good enough for Fox.

What's possibly going to be above this on the FOX totem pole?

Easy one here after that hold and the Stalker slide. Renew (Confident).

Renew (Confident). It's FOX..

Even if it loses 50% of premiere audience, and drops to 1.6 near season end, Gotham's average ratings still would be by far highest of all Fox dramas, and probably highest among all their scripted shows.
And it won't drop so much, because only 16 episodes is ordered. With 22 episodes order, and the mess today's Fox is, it actually could drop so low.

Renew (confident), though it is the first time I have to think twice before using the confident thing.

Renew Confident. This could be a show like Alcatraz or Terra Nova that starts out low 3's, has a good week 2 hold, but keeps dropping. The thing is now the 1.6-1.8 Alcatraz ended up at is STILL top rated drama on FOX

Renew (Not Confident). It held really well, but too much unknown is ahead. I mean what kind of lead is The Millers after 2 Broke Girls going to give? It'll have to do some self starting. It's skew doesn't really make me think its ratings aren't that same as Big Bang

This is just like Sleepy Hollow from last year: a highly-rated Fox drama that's getting off the canvas befor May to dodge the lower-rated part of the calendar. One big difference is that Gotham is a pre-existing brand. I guess in 2015-2016 we'll find out if the limited-run series model can at least work for a pre-sold concept.

Defer.

Scorpion is bound to drop at least half a point when TBBT moves back to Thursday, and if it also drops more than a half a point tonight, I just might decide to go against the tide here.
I'll probably agree with others in the end, and thus lose 1 point for doing it one week later. But it's just too tempting not to try for gain of 3 points over field (which I expect to be unanimous here).

CBS has bent over backwards for this show. It got a The Big Bang Theory double episode lead-in and gets to keep the sitcom's rerun for a few more episodes. Even when that support leaves and 2 Broke Girls & The Millers/Mom come back, its strongest competition (The Voice) will be done with the higher-rated blind auditions and entering the lower-rated live episodes. The toughest part of the year will be February when it has the double-whammy of The Bachelor and The Voice but we can't defer for that long; it's First 2 Weeks, not First 12 Weeks.

A few years ago it'd be comparable to Terra Nova. Now it'll be Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a network that really doesn't have much else, unlike ABC.

Renew, confident. Even if it settles below a 2.0, it will still be a winner for FOX, as everyone said.

Renew. Confident. It really is the only thing FOX has going for it at the moment.

Renew (Confident)...mostly because of the current mess at FOX. Fantasy genre programming is an uphill ratings struggle for all networks not named The CW. I see a slow but steady decline in Gotham's ratings trajectory.

Thank you FOX for making it so easy.

Renew (Confident). Even if the show falls all the way to the high 1's/low 2's, it's going to be better than everything on Fox right now.
