- Fox's I Hate My Teenage Daughter premiered at superficially a pretty decent level and dropped just 24% from The X Factor. However, the TRUE metric is not going to like this performance too much because the timeslot was extremely uncompetitive; CBS and ABC were both in repeats. Right now, it looks like a fairly bubbling performance out of the gate, reminiscent of last spring's Breaking In premiere (1.88). Criminal Minds and Happy Endings are both back next week, so the show will not go untested.
- The other network in full original mode was NBC, where Harry's Law tied its highest number yet in the timeslot and Law and Order: SVU hit its biggest number in over a month. I wouldn't get too excited, though; the Wednesday after Thanksgiving is almost always deceptively good to NBC crime dramas as CBS goes with repeats and the Grammy Nominations Concert. I still remember having some optimism when Life had a big spike here in 2008, but it never approached those numbers again.
- In the specials realm, it looks like the move of A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa worked quite well for the CW, as the show likely got a boost from the movie in theaters. Its last airing a couple years ago on NBC got just a 1.1.
