- NBC brought back Fear Factor in extremely solid fashion. This was nearly double the demo of its last airing (a 1.8 on September 12, 2006) and more than double the timeslot average of The Sing-Off this fall. Among entertainment programming on NBC this season, only The Office premiere (3.9) and the Up All Night premiere (3.7) have done better than the 9:00 episode. This kind of reminds me of the big numbers NBC got out of the box from their American Gladiators revival (5.9 on 1/6/08); let's see if it can hold up better than that show did. But this big start provided no particularly meaningful boost to Rock Center.
- The underwhelming results continue for Terra Nova, which tied a series low, although Fear Factor seems like a show that may have some crossover audience. The two-hour finale is next week.
- In a special 8:00 airing, 2 Broke Girls did worse than almost all How I Met Your Mother airings in the timeslot this season (and worse than all its own airings), which would seem to line up with my sense that the show's a little Truly weaker than HIMYM, but these numbers are still quite good and very much anchor-worthy for CBS.
