Tough one. Ratings aren't great, but I think ABC's commitment to the brand and the show's enthusiastic critical notices will give it the edge.

Those are pretty low ratings for the show 80 episodes from syndication, and we can not be sure ratings bottomed out yet.
I think next season Marvel will go with mini series as a filler for SHIELD hiatus again, but I doubt it will be Agent Carter.

It had a rough drop, but dat corporate synergy tho. Course they can also do something else, but let's see what happens.

Blah. I could easily see ABC giving this show a pass for a few reasons. The Marvel brand is important to Disney (though more on the film side at this point). It's an average show in Plus right now, outdoing SHIELD. Paul Lee may want to be able to point to a gap show that would count as a "success" this season, and that certainly eliminates Galavant or The Taste. And it'll have inconsistent lead-ins over its run: local programming a few weeks, then Fresh Off the Boat | Repeat After Me. If we thought Tuesdays were shaky with Selfie | Manhattan Love Story | SHIELD | Forever, then I don't know how this new 8:00-10:00 arrangement could be considered any better.

But considering the hours that ABC will have to patch in 2015-2016, the network may not want to dedicate more money propping up a marginal show: Nashville, SHIELD, and Castle already fit that bill, and they are (at least closer to) making money on the backend than Agent Carter.

Hm.. possibly the toughest call we've had. I am saying renew - not confident but it really could go either way.

ABC are now a strong enough network to let this go.

I'm kind of biased because I love the show, but I think the corporate synergy and Marvel brand may save it. If it rises today, then I think ABC should renew it.

Renew (Confident). Paul Lee loves dominant women :) It's the only compatible show with SHIELD this year and next year based on potential picks by ABC at this early juncture.. SHIELD at 9 and Carter at 10 and maybe some Scorpion-like show at 8. Since Marvel is on a tear, developing multiple series for Netflix, it would be really cool if ABC added a third Marvel show at 8pm Tuesday to give the entire Tuesday night lineup a theme, along the lines of TGIT, only a male skewing night of comic book inspired television..

I don't think they can do a whole season of Carter. The fact that this season is 8 episodes long proves it, unless Hayley Atwell's open for more episodes.

Cancel (not confident). I don't see ABC renewing this for a full season — the ratings just aren't there — and if they're planning to fill the winter gap with Marvel again next year (likely), I think they'll try something different.

I'm deferring!
