Spotted Ratings, Sunday 3/24/13

WHAT MATTERS:

• A significant basketball overrun on CBS somewhat spiced up another otherwise bland broadcast Sunday. For some reason a huge audience was interested in seeing my UNC team get crushed again; it had a whooping 4.5 in the 7:00 half-hour, while I'm not sure if the 4.0 number is for the full overrun (from 7:00 to 7:46) or for the full game, but I believe it's the former. 60 Minutes got a considerable boost from the proceedings, but The Mentalist at 10:46 had another poor overrun-affected outing.

• Family Guy bounced back from a weak outing last week and won the broadcast night, while American Dad! also looked good in its return to 9:30. The most alarming point of the night was Celebrity Apprentice, which dropped below its first three weeks' numbers. Once Upon a Time adjusted up to tie its low.

• The top two primetime programs were again on cable, The Bible (2.7) and The Walking Dead (5.4). Each dropped a tick week-to-week.
