Rating the Ratings: Fringe began and ended its 13-episode announced final season at a 1.1 demo and settled at around 0.9 for much of the middle. So it took another disappointing step down. It was easily the smallest year-to-year drop in the history of the show, but that isn't saying much considering 1) how low-rated last season was; and 2) that all the other seasons dropped at least 30%! Fox certainly won't miss the ratings Fringe pulled, but it's not a slam dunk that the next timeslot occupant (season two of Touch) will even get that high. Grade: C.
