Spotted Ratings, Friday 12/13/13

WHAT MATTERS:
  • While last week's near-unanimous Friday growth caused some rejoicing, the True numbers from that night were mostly unimpressed, arguing that there was more overall viewing than usual for a Friday. Maybe there was something to that, as most shows came back down on an unlucky Friday the 13th. Particularly jarring were the drama performances; the Grimm roller coaster shot down to a season low 1.2 average across its two original hours, while Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods also hit/tied season low points.
  • The only real winner this Friday was ABC, where a steady Shark Tank stretched its lead over everything else on the night to more than a half point and 20/20 was broadcast's only riser.

Damn did CBS screwed up badly with this Thursday skake up. They are not to blame though since it was a good move and I think it was worth doing it despite the results but it's sad to see how much they've fallen.

Incredible how well ABC is doing on Fridays. I have to say though that as much as I love The Neighbors, ABC made a huge mistake letting go of MC. Malibu had the best performance in the last decade and it paired well with LMS, I don't think they should have done this change. It pains me to say this because TN is one of my favorite comedies (even though I also watched MC), but from a ratings standpoint, it was a very stupid move.

They are doing amazingly well this year, I hadn't realize by how much. H50 is actually the best 9pm performer they've had there, very impressive. Great for it!

Ah, Women's Murder Club. You were an updated version of Murder, She Wheezed, and probably inspired ABC to pick up Castle for midseason in 2008-2009.

Out of curiosity, Spot, is Men in Trees' Plus number in 06-07 a Friday average only or does it include its half-season whirl as Grey's Anatomy's lead-out on Thursdays?

Just Friday. it averaged a 76 for the full season (and 96 in the Thursday episodes only).

Does anyone know the ratings and demo of the series finale of JAG? Been looking everywhere and haven't had much luck.

14 million viewers, 2.9/9 A18-49 on 4/29/05. That was a huge spike over the rest of the season, which mostly lingered around a 2.0.

Wow, thank you!!! I wasn't expecting anyone to reply/know the info I was looking for. I've looked everywhere on line and couldn't find it, I was really starting to lose hope. SO THANK YOU AGAIN!!! You're the best :)
