Spotted Ratings, Monday 5/21/12: Burning Down the House

WHAT MATTERS:
  • For the second time in nine days, a former megahit member from the class of 2004-05 signed off for good as House hit its highest number since January 30 (the week before The Voice premiered). That was well above average for this season and a nice 32% ahead of its penultimate episode but still well behind the year-ago season finale. Leading in was a House retrospective special which got about the same ratings as a typical late spring House original.
  • Most other networks are already in summer mode. NBC got a pretty good start out of G4 import American Ninja Warrior, which did significantly better than in its one-off tryout last summer (1.7 on August 22, 2011). Week two of America's Got Talent was down double digits in a one-hour form.
  • The final Dancing with the Stars performance was up despite airing for just one hour, and The Bachelorette had a smaller than usual post-premiere drop.

Are you going to due the full daily posts over the summer?

Yes, but a slimmed down version. I'll say a bit more on that later.
