Spotted Ratings, Monday 5/28/12

WHAT MATTERS:
  • The first Monday of summer was a pretty brutal one for the broadcasters as all three originals were down double digits week-to-week. There didn't appear to be much of a Memorial Day viewing drop, so the only other explanation is that...
  • ...everything big was happening on cable, where History debuted miniseries Hatfields & McCoys and obliterated the previous record for largest audience in ad-supported non-sports cable history (13.866 million viewers). Despite an also highly impressive 18-49 rating (3.7), the show didn't top the night thanks to Game 1 of the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals (4.1) on ESPN.
