Rating the Ratings: FX moved Archer to Monday in season five for some reason, and one of the hottest shows on cable suddenly zoomed in the other direction. The 1.0 premiere was actually very reminiscent of what Archer did last season on Thursday, but it quickly dropped to 0.7 and never again got any higher than that. The show skews so young and male that it was still an easy renewal for FX (in fact, for two more seasons), but moving Archer to Monday does not seem like one of the network's finer moments. I dunno how much of a role it played in this large decline, but based on its momentum coming into this season, I'm guessing it was a fairly significant part. Grade: D+.
