Rating the Ratings: In SVU's second season without Chris Meloni, the show impressively managed to steady the ship. It actually gained a tick in A18-49+ despite moving back to 9:00, which has become arguably one of the very toughest weeknight timeslots with Criminal Minds, Modern Family and Fox's singing shows. And the post-SVU slot housed one of NBC's most successful new dramas in recent years, Chicago Fire. Overall, SVU was a key cog in NBC having one of its more respectable Wednesday lineups in recent years, but they're risking it all again this fall by leading into SVU with wild card Revolution and leading out of it with another newbie, Ironside. Grade: B.

Here's the now updated War of 18-49 post for Law & Order: SVU.
