War of 18-49 Update, Warehouse 13 (2013-14)

Let's take a look at the 2013-14 season (the fifth and final overall) of Warehouse 13 on Syfy.

Rating the Ratings: The end came and went for Syfy's most successful drama in the post-Battlestar Galactica years, and nobody really seemed to care. Syfy unspooled the six-episode final season during April and May when viewership was low yet the broadcast networks were still in business, and no episode did better than a measly 0.4 rating. After dipping to a series low 0.26 on Cinco de Mayo, it had tiny gains to 0.29 and 0.31 for the last couple episodes. But there was not a major loyal contingent coming back to see how it all ended. Maybe that's one of the downsides to this show's lightweight approach.  Grade: D.

Here's the now updated War of 18-49 post for Warehouse 13.

Remeber that The Night Shift and Mistresses are going for different audiences than Castle and The Blacklist. 48 Hours would have been more profitable for sure, but I dunno if it would have been a big step up ratings wise

Step up or not, it's still less embarrassing to see a low-priority show like 48 Hours pulling low-1s than scripted shows that spent around a year, start-to-finish, in development and production pulling low-1s.

Also, you keyed on the right word: profitable. Remember that this is the same network that's hell-bent on getting The Millers into syndication just because they own it. CBS had to dole out some heavy make-goods to advertisers unless they also smelled the stinkers coming and priced the shows accordingly.

It may not have been an option, because I have no clue when all the episodes were produced, but I'm surprised CBS never tried bringing Under the Dome back early. It could have come back April 14th. Still amazed they allowed sub one repeats of crime dramas to fill the 10 slot of a higher profile night during sweeps. I bet the affiliates missed the Hawaii 5-0 lead in during sweeps

You're sure Beauty and the Beast is 0.4 after finals?
Futon Critic has it at 0.34, SonOfTheBronx has it at 0.3.

It's likely 0.3 then, but I'll check my half-hour breakdowns sheet next week to make sure.

I was actually expected CBS to do Under the Dome reruns once Intelligence ran out its order when it was clear the latter was going to play out the string.
