- The championship series in both the NHL and NBA ended after just five games. Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals (2.3) on Friday and Game 5 of the NBA Finals (6.8) each went about 10% above the previous high in the series. They were each ahead of last year's non-deciding Game 5's, but they were massively behind last year's final games, which came at the end of longer series. (Game 6 of the 2013 Stanley Cup had a 3.3, but that series in general was much higher-rated than this one. Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals had a 10.8.)
- The third and final week of ABC's Sing Your Face Off dropped two tenths to a 0.5 rating, which probably does not help in its quest for a surprise renewal.
- The Game of Thrones finale (3.81) wrapped up another season of huge growth for the show but came up shy of the 3.95 record from two weeks earlier.
