Rating the Ratings: After five unspectacular but remarkably consistent seasons, things suddenly got very rough for Justified, which plummeted by a third year-to-year even though season six was an announced final one. The worst year-to-year declines came in the first half of the season, including an 0.60 premiere that was down a staggering 46% from last year's premiere. They became more reasonable down the stretch and were actually better than -20% for the last three episodes. So maybe this surprising collapse was more about people never coming back from the poorly-reviewed penultimate season than anything that happened in this one. Still, even in the context of general cable struggles, this kind of sudden meltdown near the finish line goes down as quite a disappointment. Grade: D.
