Spotted Ratings, Wednesday 5/8/13

WHAT MATTERS:
  • The big listings change of May sweeps' second Wednesday night was an original results show of The Voice in the 8:00 hour, where it was far below its normal Monday/Tuesday numbers yet held off the 8:00 hour of American Idol and Survivor to win the reality logjam. The Voice also gave Law and Order: SVU its best lead-in of the season by a pretty wide margin, and it responded with a big uptick. And Chicago Fire was also up again at 10:00.
  • But the 8:00 logjam may have derailed The Middle and especially week two of Family Tools, and the horrifying lead-in sent Modern Family to near a season low. This was pretty much the worst-case scenario for Family Tools; if it's hurting Modern Family, it may not air in the next two weeks and simply get bumped into the summer (if that?) How to Live and Nashville were also down a bit to round off a bad ABC night.
  • CBS, the one with the truly awful evening last week, managed to rebound across the board with Survivor, Criminal Minds and CSI, but still not quite to normal recent levels.

Spot, any predictions on how the season finales of Glee, Person of Interest, and Two and a Half Men will do tonight?
