War of 18-49 Update, America's Got Talent (Summer 2015)

Let's take a look at the summer 2015 season (the tenth overall) of America's Got Talent on NBC.

Rating the Ratings: It was a surprisingly positive season for NBC's summer reality tentpole. After a month of low-teens declines, it held up far better in the second half of the season than it pretty much ever has. This included several results in August that were actually double digits above the year-ago evening! It added up to the Tuesday shows ticking up by a hundredth from last season and the highest Plus for Got Talent on a main night in the history of the series. However, it was tempered a bit by a relatively disappointing run for the Wednesday results shows, which were down a bit in Plus opposite Big Brother and MasterChef. Overall, it was an A- or even A run on Tuesday, and maybe a C+ on Wednesday. But the Tuesday run was ultimately a far bigger part of the picture here, as the Wednesday eps didn't even premiere till August 12, far later than usual.  Grade: A-.

Here's the now updated War of 18-49 post for America's Got Talent.
