Best Case/Worst Case: Strong

Best Case/Worst Case lays out possible scenarios for broadcast primetime TV seasons yet to premiere. Here's what's premiering tonight!

In a Nutshell: No, NBC still isn't done previewing new series after The Voice! Tonight, the network rolls out the first two hours of the fitness competition Strong, which will then move to Thursdays at 8/7c.

Best Case: The NBC unscripted department does it again! Reality shows always premiere well out of The Voice, and the elegantly-named Strong is able to get a Best Time Ever-esque 2.0 or so in tonight's two-hour preview. Like Little Big Shots, it holds most of that when it moves to the regular timeslot, averaging a very... strong 1.80.

Worst Case: Fitness-based shows seem to be falling out of favor on broadcast; Extreme Weight Loss struggled last summer, The Biggest Loser disappointed this winter and ABC mega-bombed with its bridge series My Diet is Better Than Yours. It has Ready for Love-esque rejection across its two-hour premiere, and then opens on Thursday in My Diet territory before going even lower. 0.55.

Likeliest: Of the three shows premiering this week, I give this one the best shot, though that's not saying much. Seems to have more of an American Ninja Warrior/American Gladiators vibe than the traditional fitness show, and there may be more of an audience for that kind of thing. Thursday 8/7c in the late spring is not an easy hour, but there's no unscripted competition, so I think it can hang in the high-zeroes and be a respectable enough lead-in for the final weeks of The Blacklist. And getting two preview hours tonight should boost the average a good bit. 0.92.
