It's time for a journey through the NBC Friday schedule in 2019-20...

FINALS UPDATE: MacGyver (0.7) adjusted up.

WHAT MATTERS:

• Shark Tank (0.8) stayed on top of broadcast Friday in its third week back on the night, and its lead-out 20/20 (0.7) stayed on the high end as well.
  

• NBC finished the season of Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt For the Bone Collector (0.6/0.5), with the show its eyeing its first 0.6 since the series premiere. CBS was even with MacGyver (0.6) and up a notch with Hawaii Five-0 (0.7) and Blue Bloods (0.7).

WHAT MATTERS:

• Longtime Friday staple Shark Tank (0.7) returned to the night for the first time in almost three years and got a strong welcome, topping its last five Sunday episodes and tying American Housewife's season high in the slot. Its lead-out 20/20 (0.6) also picked up some steam.

• CBS' Hawaii Five-0 (0.7) got an uptick on the night after its surprise cancellation, building on MacGyver (0.6). NBC (0.4/0.5/0.6) and the CW (0.2/0.1) were even-ish while Fox's WWE (0.8) was on the high end.

WHAT MATTERS:

• The double-episode series finale of Fresh Off the Boat (0.5/0.4) came back after two weeks off and looked like a pretty standard episode for the show, while 20/20 (0.4) remained low in the last two hours.

• CBS' MacGyver (0.6) and Hawaii Five-0 (0.6) came down a bit from their recent hot streaks, while NBC (0.4/0.5/0.7) and Fox (0.7) and the return of the CW's dramas (0.2/0.1) were all even.

• NBC got a decent-for-Friday premiere out of new drama Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector (0.6), tying The Blacklist's season high on the night. Dateline (0.7) grew from there, winning the head-to-head with 20/20 (0.6).

• CBS was down a notch in the first two hours (0.8/0.7) vs. last week's Hawaii Five-0/Magnum P.I. crossover, while Blue Bloods (0.7) was even at 10/9c.
