Rating the Ratings: This year saw one of primetime's most consistent programs finally take a big downturn. It started in the fall, when Bones got little assistance from a much-smaller-than-expected The X Factor lead-in. The show then aired just one original for the next four months, returning for an ultimately fairly underwhelming Monday run that settled at around a 2.0 demo. Yes, the competition on Monday was pretty brutal, but these still didn't necessarily feel like the kind of ratings that deserved to be leading off the night again in the fall. And yet, with all of Fox's new dramas tanking and House ending, the network was kinda out of options. So Bones will be back in the Monday 8:00 saddle next season leading into newbie The Mob DoctorGrade: C-.

Here's the now updated War of 18-49 post for Bones.

Great article! I think that X Factor could have something to do with the ratings falling on Bones. I love the show and I’ve continued to be a loyal follower. I never watched this show until my coworker at Dish told me how interesting the show is. Now I can watch it on my primetime records commercial free using my Auto Hop feature. Mostly all the shows I watch are recorded off PrimeTime Anytime, so now I have the freedom to either watch the commercials, or skip them thanks to the Auto Hop. I think its great being able to skip over the commercials without having to push any buttons. I won’t have to worry about wearing out the remote so soon.
