Spotted Ratings, Monday 6/4/12

WHAT MATTERS:

• Fox kicked off another summer of Gordon Ramsay with pretty positive returns from Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef. The former was down just one tenth from the year-ago premiere, very good by unscripted standards these days, while MasterChef was steeply up from the year-ago premiere (1.8 on 6/6/11, which notably did not air alongside Hell's Kitchen). MasterChef edged both American Ninja Warrior and The Bachelorette in the 9:00 hour.

• Most already-premiered shows had a double-digit rebound (including many reruns not listed below) from Memorial Day despite the stronger Fox. 

• America's Got Talent finished a few ticks behind Game 5 of the NBA Western Conference Finals (3.6) in what was likely broadcast's only chance till the conference finals are over to finish the evening with the top program. So this officially marked cable's sixth straight evening with the top program. The streak will almost undoubtedly last at least three more nights, maybe more if the conference finals go seven games.
