It's time for a journey through the Fox Wednesday schedule in 2024-25...

Following its breakout first season in winter 2024, The Floor took over as The Masked Singer's lead-out in 2024-25 and blew away most previous occupants of the post-TMS slot, with league average-ish production in both the fall and spring. Meanwhile, The Masked Singer stopped the bleeding after a couple sharply down cycles in 2023-24.

Fox aired an entire season of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test across five Wednesdays in January/early February, where it was better than last year's winter filler and also improved a bit from its Monday run in fall 2023. However, it was behind the other between-TMS programming historically.

Fox actually got a bit of a rebound from the spring season of TMS. Like with The Voice's spring season, some of that was because it came back a few weeks earlier (February 12th this year vs. March 6th last year), but even in the spring-vs.-spring comparisons above it was up somewhat.

The Masked Singer Fall: Inflated by a Thanksgiving episode, it was down in just Wednesday episodes, but just barely (-1.5%ish). It seemed like the show was close to finding its floor two years ago and then dropped big again in 2023-24, so we can't declare it stable just yet. However, it's getting just one cycle in the winter next year, which may help manage its declines. Grade: B-.
The Masked Singer Spring: This show has usually fallen sharply from fall to spring but it didn't happen so much this time (again, throwing the Thanksgiving episode out of the fall average). Considering it was also up against an extremely strong Survivor season, it was actually kinda impressive. Grade: B+.
