The CW's third-year drama Walker got a spin-off in the fall, but Walker: Independence was down sharply from its mothership lead-in and did nothing to stem Walker's own downhill trajectory.

Compared with its first two seasons, Walker season three did manage to hold up better as the season went on, holding on to a 0.10+ in all its January episodes. And Independence didn't really get any worse after its DOA start, bringing the network a lot closer to last year's ratings in the winter.

The spring actually saw Walker on the narrow year-to-year upside, but Independence gave way to an even weaker option at 9/8c in docuseries 100 Days to Indy.

Walker: Still low for a weeknight anchor, but at least there was some hope that the bleeding is slowing. Grade: C+.

Walker: Independence: After a bad start, it did at least hold up across the season, and I guess the 100 Days to Indy ratings proved that didn't necessarily have to happen. But in the end, it was still even weaker than the Tuesday newbies The Winchesters and Gotham Knights. Grade: D.
