WHAT MATTERS:- NBC's new drama La Brea (0.77) pulled off the most impressive series premiere of the new season to date, holding more than 80% of its The Voice lead-in (0.95).
- In a three-way new show battle at 9/8c, FBI: International (0.52) moved earlier and dropped by more than 10% from last week, and was actually outrated by FBI: Most Wanted (0.54) at 10/9c. Fox's Our Kind of People (0.34) was down just a hundredth in its second week, despite a much bigger drop from The Resident (0.43) at 8/7c.
FINALS UPDATE: Bachelor in Paradise (0.9) and
FBI: Most Wanted (0.7) adjusted up.
WHAT MATTERS:- CBS completed its triple-FBI night with the launch of FBI: International (0.59) at 10/9c, with FBI (0.72) and FBI: Most Wanted (0.66) sliding an hour earlier. International certainly outperformed NCIS: Hawaii retention-wise, and it was also a beneficial move for Most Wanted, which actually edged last season's premiere in raw numbers.
- Fox debuted Lee Daniels drama Our Kind of People (0.35) after The Resident (0.50) at soft levels, but for now it was at least not a The Big Leap-level disaster.
- The Voice (1.09) impressed again in its second night, up a hundredth from both its October 2020 Tuesday premiere as well as from this week's Monday premiere. New Amsterdam (0.54) returned in the 10/9c hour and was not down much from last season's premiere (though still just a hair better than Ordinary Joe on Monday).
