CBS rescued Magnum P.I. from cancellation on CBS, and while they didn't get as strong a show as it had been in the CBS Friday hammock, it did send NBC back in a positive direction after several years of abject misery on Sunday night. The Blacklist joined it at 10/9c, improving hugely on last year's acquired drama but still way down from its own Friday results.

Magnum fell off somewhat hard late in its season, as a steady diet of 0.3's from the winter dropped into the 0.2's on at least a couple occasions.

Magnum P.I.: Magnum gave NBC the closest thing it's had to a Sunday beachhead in four years, but it was still a big step down from its whole CBS run. Was it enough to justify the cost? It doesn't really seem so, as NBC announced the show will end after the last ten episodes of its initial order. Those eps will air on Wednesdays at 9/8c while the Chicago series are delayed by the strikes. Grade: C.

The Blacklist: The Blacklist finally got exiled to the toughest timeslot on the network, and it was not pretty (though still better than Transplant). The season average got a boost from its last run of episodes, on Thursday after the end of the regular season, though those episodes were still a good bit weaker than its Thursday run in 2021-22. Grade: C.
