WHAT MATTERS:
- ABC dominated the first Monday of 2021 with the season premiere of The Bachelor (1.3/1.2), but the show was down about a third from the premiere of last year's record-setting season. And a preview of Thursday reality effort The Hustler (0.5) did not show a lot of promise at 10/9c.
- Ellen's Game of Games (0.6/0.5) moved to Monday and was about in line with a couple originals it aired early in the fall, and down massively from its winter 2020 premiere (1.0/1.1). It led into The Wall (0.5) at 10/9c.
- CBS also returned to originals with The Neighborhood (0.7), Bob Hearts Abishola (0.6), All Rise (0.5) and Bull (0.5), most of which posted typical fall numbers and up a touch from their last episodes in December.
