But launching something new after 60 Minutes. So I could see a Good Wife/CSI/Mentalist midseason Sunday. Batle Creek seems like a waste after Criminal Minds. Vince Gillian fans aren't Criminal Minds watchers. It has no syndication potential, but can probably self start. Battle Creek baffles me scheduling wise as it seems to big to waste on Sunday, but too different to throw after a proceduralSpothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01222504847153680060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3149153403168306818.post-40290049471658284642014-10-16T13:50:52.726-04:002014-10-16T13:50:52.726-04:00Stalker stabilized, but Scorpion and NCIS: New Orl...Stalker stabilized, but Scorpion and NCIS: New Orleans also stabilized... at more than 20% better ratings. I think they will replace it in January with CSI: Cyber. Unless its launching is involving some crossover with motherboard. In that case, with Battle Creek. Maybe even before January, but I doubt it, because of following two reasons combined:
1. Holidays season is close, probably CBS doesn't want new show to go into repeats after only few episodes.
2. Stalker's 1.7 is not so awful, it's more that it wastes great lead-in.Spothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01222504847153680060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3149153403168306818.post-89237455947726476262014-10-16T13:41:52.662-04:002014-10-16T13:41:52.662-04:00Yes, Laura is constantly tick or two behind (prett...Yes, Laura is constantly tick or two behind (pretty low) Revolution numbers year ago. Dead show walking.
Forever is 100% dead too, but at least it improves its timeslot y2y, and thus makes bean counters at ABC headquarters happy. Either preempt it whole or don't preempt it. The specials did very good numbers for repeats of course, but they would have been better used replacing low rated originals of Selfie and MLS on Tuesdays than replacing Middle and Goldbergs repeats (which is what they are effectively doing here). Meanwhile, Modern Family was down 19% last night despite having been -7%, -12% and -8% so far. It may change in finals but it looks a bit ugly. Blackish continues to be an improvement over Fun Night though and that's with reduced MF, so double plus.

Stalker looks decent but that's only a product of its competitors being weak (despite some recovery by Chicago PD). It was 16% down from CSI's year numbers, the worst trend in CBS' Wednesday, which for a newbie with promotion is bad. Survivor though is quietly having a great season.

Arrow had a bad night. Maybe it's a bit more disappointing than normal because of all the flash heat which appears to be doing nothing for it, but well. The CW needs the 100 to do really well to be able to post some year to year Wednesday gains.

SVU and PD did well for NBC, but Laura continues to be unable to improve from Revolution's year ago numbers. It was down 10% from what it did here last year. PD however is an enough of an improvement over Ironside for the night to be up year to year.Spothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01222504847153680060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3149153403168306818.post-3691489102520817432014-10-16T13:06:08.017-04:002014-10-16T13:06:08.017-04:00Interesting they aired the holiday specials on Oct...Interesting they aired the holiday specials on October 15th. It's where Toy Story aired last year, but they have two other Wednesdays before Halloween. Either way, looks like Toy Story is a lock as a traditionSpothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01222504847153680060noreply@blogger.com
