WHAT MATTERS:
- The CW's new dramedy Life Sentence averaged a 0.3 demo on premiere night, leading out of a 0.4 from Riverdale. Since it comes from the far stronger WB studio, it's probably going to have to hold up extremely well from here.
- It was a slightly up night for most of the big four, including all of ABC's comedies (1.4/1.2/1.4/1.1), though Designated Survivor could not bounce back from its first 0.6.
- On CBS, SEAL Team (0.9) inched back up in its return to 9/8c, while its lead-in Survivor (1.7) matched last week's strong premiere. Criminal Minds (0.9) was on the downswing at 10/9c, in its first airing in over a month.
- All of the dramas on Fox (0.9/1.6) and NBC (1.0/1.2/1.3) were also up a tenth.
