WHAT MATTERS:
- Life after The Big Bang Theory began for CBS Monday as Kevin Can Wait (1.2) moved to the lead-off role and Superior Donuts (0.8) opened season two at 9/8c. Though Kevin made a strong transition to the lead-off slot, it was a miserable night for all the other comedies. 9JKL tumbled all the way to a 0.8, Superior Donuts opened on a new series low, and Me, Myself and I crashed to 0.7 after three weeks at 0.9.
- It was also a rough night on NBC, with The Voice (1.9) down three tenths and The Brave (0.8) down two. But NBC's loss was ABC's gain, as Dancing with the Stars (1.4) and The Good Doctor (1.9) both gained a tenth from last week (and were very close to gaining two tenths, with respective 1.45/1.94 finals).
- Fox Monday mimicked Fox Thursday and saw some encouraging upticks in the middle of the World Series coverage, with Lucifer (0.9) ekeing out an upward adjustment in finals and The Gifted (1.1) rebounding after three straight weeks of declines.
