It's time for a journey through the NBC Sunday schedule in 2015-16...

NBC still does nothing of note between Sunday Night Football and the Oscars!

NBC finally got the big Sunday event they were hoping A.D. The Bible Continues would be, with a great two months from Little Big Shots at 8/7c. But The Carmichael Show and Crowded couldn't take much advantage. (Though the retention was not quite as bad as it appears above, since they aired several eps leading out of LBS repeats/clip shows.)

Little Big Shots: NBC resisted the urge to bring this show back in the fall. The self-control is admirable, but it'll be interesting to see if they actually get rewarded for their patience; can this supposedly very stand-alone, low-urgency show recapture a big audience?

The Carmichael Show: Not sure I've ever seen so much consternation about a show "barely" getting renewed. Ratings-wise, it should have been a close call, at best. I don't think it was much weaker than last year, when it led out of America's Got Talent summer episodes that had fairly comparable raw numbers. But there was certainly no sign of ratings heat. Grade: C+.

Crowded: Was it stronger than The Carmichael Show, and only doomed to lower ratings because of the later timeslot? Eh. If so, it was not by a wide margin. NBC renewed the show they liked better.

The names in this last table link to the shows' War of 18-49 pages. Links with an asterisk(*) have been updated with the new info. Updates to younger shows will come later in the summer.

Check back tomorrow for this day's new Schedules Plus! Till then, you can refer to the old version.
