War of 18-49 Update, The Voice (Spring 2015)

Let's take a look at the spring 2015 season (the eighth overall) of The Voice on NBC.

Timeslot Lo Avg Hi y2y A18-49+ Label y2y Results
Monday 8:002.3 3.084.1 -13%183big hit -3% detail
Tuesday 8:002.0 3.024.1 -5%180big hit +7%

Rating the Ratings: NBC's The Voice didn't quite reverse its recent trend of declining in Plus, at least not on the main night. (And the Tuesday ratings are inflated by added two-hour episodes early in the season. It would've been -10% just reducing all those ratings to one hour, and a very similar -12% if not accounting for the higher-rated 9:00 hours.)

However, this season took a smaller decline than either of the last two. I was close to going B- here, but The Voice was healthiest early in the season and had some bad points down the stretch. The 2.9 finale was one of the best points in the last month, down a pretty reasonable 12% year-to-year. Overall, The Voice's story didn't change much: continued slight depreciation, but no real sign of an American Idol-esque meltdown. Grade: C+.

Here's the now updated War of 18-49 post for The Voice.
