Rating the Ratings: For the first time since the year it moved to Thursday, The Big Bang Theory dropped more than the league average decline in 2014-15. The show was actually quite healthy in its temporary move to Monday, necessitated by CBS' pickup of Thursday Night Football. However, the year-to-year declines became more drastic after its return to Thursday, and there were some particularly bad points in April and May as the show plummeted into the mid-3's. It's hard to knock this season too much since it was still the second-biggest TBBT season ever in Plus, and thus the second-biggest comedy season since Friends. But going forward, it will be interesting to see if the aging show suffers more from being jerked back and forth between Monday and Thursday. Perhaps one can hope Supergirl will be enough of a success that CBS won't feel obligated to keep doing it? Grade: C+.
