Rating the Ratings: Two and a Half Men was the only scripted series to qualify as a "hit" in all of the first ten seasons of A18-49+. The streak finally came to an end in 2013-14, as the show took a Friday-esque drop in its move from post-The Big Bang Theory to (mostly) post-The Crazy Ones. So how much of the drop was situation-driven and how much was the decline in "true strength" of the show? Bottom line: when you're down 40%, there's a lot of room for both. Though I don't usually make year-to-year comparisons with this number, the True score was down at least 25%. Airing after incompatible The Crazy Ones may have been a worse situation than True could account for, as seen in Men's considerable growth when it returned to 9/8c. But even those 9/8c airings, though they seemed like a big deal compared to the rest of the season, suggested a far weaker show than the one that aired on Monday at 9/8c before the Ashton Kutcher bounce. And the fact that it's getting an announced final season further suggests "true" erosion. Grade: D+.

Here's the now updated War of 18-49 post for Two and a Half Men.
