Rating the Ratings: As predicted during the preseason, The Big Bang Theory followed through on its spring 2012 heat by taking over as broadcast TV's top entertainment program in 2012-13. It was also the biggest sitcom season in A18-49+ since Friends ended. It had a few somewhat underwhelming points to begin the season, but starting in late October it was pretty consistently up by nearly 10% year-to-year, and its season highlight was on an uncompetitive 1/10/13 when it rung up a stratospheric 6.4 demo and a nice round 20.00 million viewers. Usually I reserve the A grades for bigger raw numbers growth than this, but growing again on the already huge previous season seems very praise-worthy. Grade: A.
