Spotted Ratings, Tuesday 5/15/12

WHAT MATTERS:

• As usual, NCIS knows how to get people to show up for a finale. It got kicked up in finals to the show's biggest number since February. The two-hour finale of NCIS: Los Angeles helped create a much stronger than usual night for CBS.

• Night two of America's Got Talent was down a few ticks from the Monday premiere but put NBC in a strong second place. That led into the finale of somehow renewed Fashion Star. 

• As has become a trend during the penultimate week of the season, the lineups that aren't all big finales seem to get left behind. ABC was a disaster at 8/7c with a Cougar Town hour, but Private Practice bounced back in its finale. And a two-hour Glee on Fox didn't really impress.
