- It doesn't look like we're in for a second season of good-for-Friday ratings for Fringe, as the show dropped a brutal three tenths from last week's OK premiere and tied the series low it hit a couple times late last spring. Lead-in Kitchen Nightmares remained solid.
- CBS' lineup dropped two tenths across the board (with CSI: NY up in finals to a one-tenth loss). That was not good news for week two of newbie A Gifted Man, but at least it's still even year-to-year with the year-ago occupant Medium.
- The CW's weeklong rebound didn't translate to Friday, where Nikita was even week-to-week and appears headed for a tie with H8R as the net's weakest show. Supernatural lost a tenth, putting it at outright series low levels very early in this new season.
- Dateline led the way among the other two nets but dropped a good bit from its great ratings last week, while Suburgatory, Pan Am, Up All Night and Whitney got encore tries. 20/20 picked up a couple tenths and considerably narrowed the gap with the NBC newsmagazine.
