War of 18-49 Update, Hell's Kitchen (Summer 2011)

Let's take a look at the summer 2011 season (the ninth overall) of Hell's Kitchen on Fox.

Summer 2011 adults 18-49 low/average/high: 2.4/2.64/2.9

Rating the Ratings: Hell's Kitchen turned in another solid season for Fox. While it was the show's fifth straight season to decline from the previous one, the 5% drop was its smallest in three seasons. It was down 11% from its summer season last year. This was a surprisingly consistent season throughout, with the weakest hour and strongest separated by just a half point. It looked around the midpoint of the season like this show might make the leap into the 3's, but the ratings kind of petered out as Monday Night Football and then all the broadcast competition returned in the last couple weeks. Overall, this show's days as a major summer powerhouse seem behind us, but at least the Gordon Ramsay shows are not dropping as fast as So You Think You Can Dance. Grade: B-.

Here's the now updated War of 18-49 post for Hell's Kitchen.
